Ross Valley
Farm Walk
Every last Sunday, neighbors set their surplus fruits and vegetables at the foot of their driveway — then friends, families, and neighbors walk the streets together, share the harvest, and connect.

The Movement
One valley.
Many neighborhoods.
On the last Sunday of each month, anyone with surplus produce — fruits, vegetables, herbs, or anything growing in their yard — places it at the foot of their driveway between 8 AM and 1 PM. Then the neighborhood comes alive: friends, families, and neighbors take a walk, browse what's been set out, and take what they'll use.
Invite your friends. Bring the kids. Grab a neighbor you've been meaning to catch up with. The walk is the point — the food is just the reason to get outside together.
It started in Palm Hill. Now it's spreading across Ross Valley — one neighborhood at a time, same spirit everywhere.
Foot of your driveway
Set your surplus out at the bottom of your drive — that's all it takes to participate.
Invite your people
Bring a friend, a neighbor, your family. The walk is more fun together.
Every last Sunday
8 AM – 1 PM. A consistent rhythm the whole neighborhood can count on.
No food waste
Surplus doesn't go in the bin. It feeds a neighbor instead.

Simple. Generous.
Right in your neighborhood.
01
Put your surplus at the foot of your driveway
Before 8 AM on the last Sunday of each month, place any surplus fruits, vegetables, herbs, or garden extras at the bottom of your driveway. A cardboard box, basket, or blanket on the ground works perfectly. Label things if you like — leave them out until 1 PM.
02
Invite a friend and go for a walk together
Text a neighbor, call a friend, grab the kids or the dog — and go for a walk from 8 AM to 1 PM. Stroll your street and the streets nearby. See what your neighbors have set out, take what you'll use, and enjoy each other's company along the way.
03
Stop, chat, and connect
When you see a neighbor at their driveway, stop and say hello. Swap a tomato for a lemon. Share a recipe. Compare notes on what's growing. This is how a neighborhood becomes a community — one walk at a time.
Make It an Outing
Don't go alone.
Bring your people.
The Farm Walk is more than a place to pick up produce — it's a reason to get outside with the people you care about. Text a friend. Knock on your neighbor's door. Get the kids involved. Plan a route together and make a morning of it.
You'll find yourself stopping at driveways, chatting with people you've waved to for years but never properly met, discovering who grows the best tomatoes on the block. That's the whole idea.
Bring the family
Kids love exploring driveways and discovering what their neighbors grow. It's an easy Sunday morning outing.
Invite a neighbor
Knock on the door of someone you've been meaning to meet. The walk gives you the perfect excuse.
Make a morning of it
Grab a coffee, pick a route through the neighborhood, and take your time. There's no rush — the walk runs until 1 PM.
Text a friend
The more the merrier. Share the date, pick a meeting spot, and turn it into a regular thing you all look forward to.

You don't need a farm. You just need a driveway and whatever's growing in your yard, window box, or pots.
