An Essential Ingredients Table

M Is for More: Live.

Menopause. Andropause. Midlife. In the same room, finally.

You've had the conversation with your girlfriends. Maybe with your doctor, if you got fifteen minutes. What you haven't had is the conversation with your partner sitting next to you, hearing it at the same time you are. That's the gap. Nobody's built the room for it yet. We are.

The Problem

Two people, same house,
two versions of the same thing.

Women go through menopause and figure it out mostly alone — support groups, symptom trackers, a doctor's appointment squeezed into a lunch break. Men go through their own hormonal shift in midlife too, and almost nobody says the word "andropause" out loud, let alone talks about it.

So two people in the same house are going through two versions of the same thing, and they're doing it separately. Not because they don't care. Because there's never been a place built for them to do it together.

M Is for More: Live is that place.

A Category of One

Not a symposium.
A live conversation.

It's not a lecture with a slide deck and a Q&A card you're too embarrassed to fill out. It's a live conversation, recorded for the M Is for More series, in front of a room of people going through exactly what you are.

You'll hear from people who actually treat this — the women's side and the men's side, together — plus someone whose job is to help two people talk to each other about it, not just at each other.

We haven't found anyone else doing this live, in person, for both sides of a couple at once. Until we do, we're building it.

What You Walk Away With

Worth a night out.

A partner who finally understands what's actually happening in your body — because he heard it too, in the same room, not secondhand from you at 11pm

Real answers from people who treat this for a living, not another algorithm-fed infographic

Permission to ask the question you've been sitting on, from an audience full of people asking the same one

A night that starts a conversation you'll keep having at home, instead of one more thing you both avoid

You don't need to come with a partner. Plenty of people will be there solo, and that's exactly as welcome.

Why Now

The information is everywhere.
What's missing is a room.

This moment — hormones, midlife, what our bodies are actually doing to us and why nobody taught us this — is having a real cultural reckoning. The information is everywhere. What's missing is a room. A place to hear it together, ask the question out loud, and leave with something more useful than a bookmark you'll never open again.

We built M Is for More because eating right, living right, and understanding your own body shouldn't require a specialist appointment and a script you can barely pronounce. This is that same belief, live, in one room, for one night.

Frequently Asked

Questions, Answered.

What is M Is for More: Live?

M Is for More begins with a live podcast conversation with Dr. Lisa Brent and Dr. Justin Mayer. The Essential Ingredients Table is what happens after: an hour for the audience to connect, ask real questions, and become a community.

Do I need to bring a partner?

No. You're welcome to come alone or with a partner. The event is built to include both experiences, but attending solo is just as welcome.

What's the difference between this and a menopause symposium?

Most menopause events focus on women only. M Is for More: Live puts menopause and andropause in the same conversation, in the same room, so both sides of a couple — or anyone curious about either side — can hear it together.

Where is the event held?

The September 22 event is at Magic Theatre, 2 Marina Boulevard at Fort Mason in San Francisco. The November 13 gathering takes place at Luma Fitness in Petaluma, with doors opening at 3:45 PM for a 4:00 PM start.

Is this a medical consultation?

No. This is an educational, conversational event, not a substitute for individual medical care.

How do I get tickets?

Tickets for September 22 at Fort Mason are now available through Eventbrite. Tickets for the November 13 Petaluma gathering are $35 per person and available through the ticket button on this page.
